Select Event Group announced today that it has assumed the role of lead organizer for 2026 Eventing at Fair Hill.
Select Event Group has applied to run the October 2026 CCI3*-L and the October 2026 Young Event Horse competition, and it is “actively preparing” its application to organize and host the 2027 Maryland 5 Star event.
As part of its Maryland 5 Star preparation, Select is already working with 2025 cross country course designer Pierre Le Goupil as well as an array of public and private entities. Select said that “international competitions of this stature require not only expert execution, but sustained public-private partnership,” and that the “State’s continued support remains an essential element in maintaining Fair Hill’s place on the global Eventing calendar.”
Alex Corgan, President of Select Event Group, says his team’s goal is “to expand the aperture of supporters and participants — from longtime equestrian fans to new community partners — creating more opportunities for people to engage, contribute, and feel invested in the event’s success.”
Cecil County Executive Cecil County Adam Streight says that he “is pleased to see the Three-Star event continue this year, ensuring the tradition of world-class eventing at Fair Hill remains strong.” He also said Select Event Group understands “the importance of including Cecil Countians and local businesses, along with our partners, to deliver a successful 2026 competition and welcome the return of the Maryland 5 Star in 2027.”
