The Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) is hiring an Executive Director for the Maryland Horse Industry Board (MHIB), a key role dedicated to promoting Maryland as a premier equestrian destination and advancing the state’s equine industry. This position leads the promotion and marketing efforts for the Maryland Horse Park System, collaborates with industry partners, and manages initiatives that support equine health, welfare, and economic growth.
Responsibilities include leading promotional activities, administering educational grants, managing stable licensing and inspections, and supervising program inspectors. The role also involves oversight of MHIB operations and partnerships.
