The 2025 MPB Yearling Futurity was held on a foggy Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Harford County Equestrian Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Judge Molly Rinedollor of Parker, Colorado awarded the Grand Champion rosette to Maryland-bred Lady’s First, a stunning chestnut filly owned by Michele Hazel of Broad Run, Virginia. Handled by Paul Maye, Lady’s First is by *Cadlanvalley Manhatten, an imported Section B Welsh stallion out of a Welsh cross mare. Reserve Champion went to the Maryland Bred Section B Welsh gelding Rosehaven Royal Heir (*Telynau Royal Anthem x Rosehaven Raindrop), bred by Sally Steinmetz/Jacqueline Morris, owned and handled by Jacqueline Morris of Forest Hill, Maryland.
Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion were presented with a director’s chair, Coolerette, flower garlands and pony themed ceramic mug. In addition, the Overall Grand Champion received a Le Mieux fleece cooler and matching halter generously donated by AqueLyst LLC/Duo Equine. Champion Welsh and Hunter Breeder also received Cooler/benches created by Kris Morris and donated by Fat Chance Farm. Class winners received engraved Charcuterie Boards, leather show leads and MPB ballcaps. Second place received engraved cutting boards and ribbon browbands. All exhibitors received goodie bags full of sponsor gifts and MPB swag.
